Dr. Raghunath Rao

I am a medical oncologist by training.  My passion is building comprehensive cancer facilities, cancer registries, training and teaching programs, cancer prevention programs and palliative care. I have 32 years of teaching experience with a dozen PhDs and Doctoral students. I trained at the Princess Margaret Hospital, Toronto, the MD Anderson Cancer Center, Houston, the University of Birmingham, UK, the University of Oxford, UK Oregon Health and Sciences University, Portland, USA. I have authored over 280 peer reviewed publications and 12 textbook chapters. My expertise is in early phase cancer clinical trials including basic and translational research as well as pharmacogenomics
